Bennet quickly hid his wings, brushed off any feathers and started walking towards the door, "Kay, see you later, and uhm, if you need anything, don't be afraid to call me." He flashed a quick smile at him, then headed down to the street. It was getting late, and he wasn't exactly sure where to go, but he figured that he'd find a place somewhere, eventually.
Connor was actually sad that Bennet was going out, but he couldn’t exactly control what the guy did. So instead he lounged on the couch, opening his sketchbook and putting on a Marvel movie, and trying to get used to the feeling that he was somewhat friends with an angel.
After he found a decent looking club, then getting in, Bennet just stayed near the bar. He wasn't even sure why he had come, this wasn't the type of place that he'd normally even go to, but for some reason it sort of felt like it was okay. He had a couple of drinks when a guy approached him and the two started to talk, after a while of the two talking, the two left the club together. Bennet was sort of mentally freaking out, he had never done anything like this before, and was definitely nervous about it. When they got close to the guy's place, Bennet chickened out, and after a while of trying to convince the other man to take him back to his apartment, the guy acquiesced. After what seemed an eternity, but was probably five minutes, Bennet came through the door of the apartment and flopped down on the couch, "Good grief."
“You okay?” He asked the other, looking up from his sketchbook. He’d been sitting on the couch ever since Bennet had left. He’d just started the second Captain America movie. They were always his favorite, mostly because of the message that even the weakest person can become strong. Also because he low key was crushing on Chris Evans but that was a whole different thing that he was not talking about right now.
"Erm, I guess, I sort of just chickened out of uhm a. . ." He glanced around nervously as if there was another angel in the room listening to them, "One night stand." He mumbled sort of embarrassed, "And the guy was really hot too."
“Damn. Well to be fair, it’s always hard the first time. Putting yourself out there like that..it makes you pretty vulnerable.” He commented, looking back down at his sketchbook. “And with a hot guy too, you must’ve felt extra bad for chickening out, poor thing.”
"Y-you get it? I honestly thought that you'd laugh at me or something." He was still pretty buzzed, so his normal polite filter was sort of turned off, "I thought that the guy would get mad and yell, which he did, sort of, well he got mad, but understood, I think. Well, he dropped me off, and we have eachother's numbers and stuff." Bennet sighed softly, "I'm just a big wimp."
His brow furrowed. “He yelled at you? That’s rude. And no I was not at all planning to laugh at you. I know it must be really hard for you. You’re not a wimp. I’m proud of you for getting out of there instead of doing something you didn’t want to.”
"Well, not really, he raised at me, but that was it. I mean, he was upset, I don't see why, but he was." Bennet said with a shrug, "Oh, uhm, t-thank you?" He said with a stutter, "T-that's very nice of you to say."
He shrugged. “You’re welcome. Just speaking my mind.” He went back to sketching silently. “If you want you can just chill and watch the movie with me.” He offered after a few seconds.
"Is that one of those Mar-vell movies?" He asked bothering the name completely, "Why not?" He let his wings out, making sure he wasn't hitting Connor with them, then made himself comfortable on the couch.
Connor went back to sketching, humming softly as he half payed attention to the movie. He’d seen it so many times that he almost knew it line for line. Almost. There were still a few places where he would forget. But he was pretty close. He was very proud of himself for it.
Bennet on the other hand wasn't the most interested in the movie, it was nice and the plot was alright, but he just couldn't get involved in it. He got up and headed over to the kitchen to make himself a snack, and maybe another drink while he was at it. After a few minutes, he sat back on the couch with a bowl of popcorn and a slightly goofy grin, that drink had sort of pushed him over the edge, making him slightly tipsy, "Whatcha doing?" He said as he looked over at Connor's sketch.
“Just drawing whatever pops into my head.” He said, currently working on a random landscape that he remembered. It was a wide open field, maybe one on a farm or just a natural one, it was hard to tell.
"It's pretty, and seems a little familiar to mee." He said, then turned his attention back to the TV, but still, he was a little bored by the movie, but he wasn't going to tell Connor that at all. He started to eat his popcorn, absentmindedly staring at the screen before he decided to go back to his room and watch something else.
“Hey Bennet you sure you’re okay?” He called after him. “You’re acting kinda weird….” he grumbled the last part. He stared after Bennet, an eyebrow raised.
"I'm fine!!!!!!!!" He called back, "Just fine!" He sort of was, he was just bored mainly. He poked his head out of the door to look at him, "Why?"
“Dunno you’re just acting weird.” He said again, shrugging before going back to working on his sketch again.
"UHm, okay? The movie bored me so I left." He said with a confused look on his face, "I don't think that's weird."
He sighed “never mind, forget I said anything.” He said, going back to his sketching in hopes of ending the somewhat awkward conversation.
Bennet smiled a little, noting how he easily made things extremely awkward so easily. That probably wasn't something to be proud of, but at that moment he could of cared less. Carefully closing the door and locking it, Bennet turned on his TV, and just surfed until he found a show that interested him. The his phone buzzed with a text from one of his friends, they were wanting to see what Bennet was up too. Which wasn't too much honestly. Bennet got a demon roommate, admitted his mission, and probably would be kicked out of Heaven if anything was found out.
((Yeah not much going on XD))
Connor stayed on the couch, not really feeling tired enough to go to sleep. He would continue to draw, eventually he began to draw Bennet, he didn’t know why, but it made him happy.
((I know, Bennet's just an idiot, but uhm, what to do know, because Bennet had to be an idiot and weird Connor out))
((Oof idk man they’re both big idiots. We could maybe have something gæ happen since Bennet’s a tipsy boi))
((OOH, yaaaaaasss, we need them to finally hit it off with eachother))
