“I mean we are old but we’re not like old old. I still feel young for what that’s worth.” He shrugged. “And yeah this is way better than just drinking alone.”
“I mean we are old but we’re not like old old. I still feel young for what that’s worth.” He shrugged. “And yeah this is way better than just drinking alone.”
Bennet shrugged a little, "That's good, I guess, I just don't feel the greatest." He yawned a little bit and grabbed a nearby pillow, "Well, had I stayed with that guy tonight you would be drinking alone." He sort of regretted leaving that guy though. It might have been nice, but he didn't want his first time to be with just anyone.
“Well that would’ve sucked for me then. So I’m glad you’re here” he smiled widely over at him.
Bennet nodded a bit and shrugged, closing his eyes again, "Yeah, uhm, me too." He said pouring another glass for himself, "I am going to feel so sick tomorrow."
He chuckled, leaning his head over on Bennet’s shoulder. “It’s part of the experience, you just gotta embrace it.”
Bennet blushed a little bit, but the alcohol in his system sort of dampened his reactions, "Hhmph, tell me that tomorrow morning, when I'm throwing up my guts." He said in between sips, still holding the pillow in his arms. The gesture did cause his wings to come out though, and they sort of encircled the two.
He smiled, gently touching one of Bennet’s wings. “They’re so pretty…” he whispered. “Just like you.”
That made Bennet turn a dark shade of red, but he just didn't know how to react, probably due to the fact of never being in a situation like this, and due to the fact that he was a complete idiot at times. "T-thank you. You're r-really handsome." He mumbled his response as he felt his heart and wings flutter a bit. He held the pillow closer to his chest, mentally panicking, but he stopped moving his wings around a bit not to be rude to Connor.
His smile widened. “Thank you…not a lot of people say that.” He kept his head on Bennet’s shoulder seeming perfectly content.
"T-they should," He mumbled, then feeling a tiny bit bolder continued, "Cause it's true." He slid his arm around Connor's waist pulling him a bit closer, praying that he wouldn't ruin the moment. He was really enjoying this moment with him, just the peaceful feeling he was getting was quite nice. His wings moved again, covering the two, almost like a blanket wrapped around their shoulder, and he silently cursed them. They were behaving as if they had a mind of their own, and it was sort of making him look -well not bad- but sort of well. He couldn't think of the right word for it. But they wouldn't go back or hide, and he didn't really try since he knew Connor somewhat liked them.
Connor didn’t pull away, if anything he moved closer into the contact, sighing contently.
"C-Conner?" He said softly, "What are we doing?" He didn't know for sure if this meant something, if they were just being two drunk idiots, and if he should stay or go back to his room, although he knew he would much rather stay. He down into Connor's blood red eyes and inwardly smiled, they were just gorgeous, so different from the blue eyes everyone had up in heaven, and so unique. He had never seen anything like them before, and he just couldn't stop looking at them.
“I dunno. Does it really matter?” He asked, squinting up at him a bit. He got distracted by Bennet’s hair, so light and gorgeous, and he just wanted to run his hands through it for hours.
Bennet mumbled an I don't know, then fell silent again, shrugging slightly. He closed his eyes again, and shifted a bit, making himself more comfortable. He had discarded the pillow and fluke at this point, and was just enjoying this moment, sort of wishing that it would last forever.
“You falling asleep on me for real this time?” He asked, looking over at Bennet. “I don’t want you to leave me alone..” he mumbled unhappily.
"I'm not, at least I don't think so." He mumbled, "I-I won't leave you alone, I don't want to. I'm just trying to make myself comfortable." He yawned softly, then smiled sheepishly at him, "I think that all that drinking is just getting to me."
“Mm most likely. The likelihood that I’m not going to remember anything in the morning is a solid 90% right now too.”
Bennet nodded, "I get that, I just hope that we remember this." He moved so that he was lying down on the couch, and sort of pulled Connor down with him, Don't weird him out pleaseeee. He was still praying that the other boy wouldn't just get up and walk away from him.
“Hmmm I don’t know if I will.” He said with a small giggle, gently caressing Bennet’s cheek. “You really are so pretty..” he mumbled.
"I. . .uhm. . . thank you?" He somehow managed to squeak that out before he turned a deep shade of red. He stammered a bit, trying to say something else, but really couldn't, and instead just wrapped his arms around the other boy's waist and held him close to his chest.
He didn’t know what to do honestly. He didn’t want to make a move on Bennet and get rejected. Instead he just buried his head in Bennet’s chest, getting comfy. ‘He smells nice…’ Connor thought to himself.
Bennet was still panicking and hoped that Connor couldn't tell. He took some deep breaths, then closed his eyes again, "I'm not falling asleep, just so you know." He mumbled, then shifted ever so slightly so he wasn't crushing one of his wings.
“M’kay.” He mumbled, his own eyes sliding shut. He gently leaned on one of Bennet’s wings, smiling softly. He didn’t ever want this moment to end. He just wanted to stay here in Bennet’s arms.
Then, as if something just had to ruin the moment, Bennet's phone rang. He grumbled a little bit as he sat up slowly, and reached over to the coffee table for his phone. He checked it, and saw that it was one of his friends. Out of annoyance he sort of slammed the phone back down on the table, then turned off the notifications, "Sorry." He said sheepishly to a startled Connor, "It won't happen again." He said as he pulled the boy back towards him, then gently pressed his lips to the Connor's forehead, "I promise."
He smiled when Bennet kissed his forehead. “It’s okay..did scare the shit out of me though.” He admitted with a small chuckle, reaching up and running his fingers through Bennet’s hair.
