It was nearly noon when Bennet woke up, though he really didn't care. He pushed himself up so that he would be sitting and felt something feathery brush his arm. He jumped in surprise, then realized that it was just his wing, Oh, yeah, I let them loose yesterday. That's when he noticed that his door was closed, I thought that I had left it open. . . Good Lord, I'm in trouble. He quickly hid his wings, then got changed. "Hey Connor, you back yet?" He knew that if he could figure out Connor's behavior around him, and if he ever brought it up, then he could come up with an excuse, or a lie. That is if he could lie in this situation. Fixing his somewhat messy hair, he made himself a bowl of cereal - well a bowl of milk and a bowl of cereal-, and sat down as he waited for Connor to come out, or come back. While he waited, his mind began to wander, What would Connor even do if he found out the truth? I think he'd be fine, it's not like he's a demon or anything, but that other guy, Alec? Is that his name, hmm, yeah it's Alec, scares the heck out of me, and I mean, not everyone has to like me, but being that mean to me isn't all that nice.

Connor heard Bennet in the kitchen. After like an hour of freaking out that night, he’d just decided to act like nothing had happened. He’d figure out what to actually do with Bennet later. He walked out into the kitchen, his hair messy. “Hi..”

"How'd you sleep? You look like a mess." Bennet said rather bluntly, still eating his cereal, "So, do you want anything to eat?" He didn't think that Connor had seen the wings, and the knot in his stomach began to unravel, "And by the way, how was the club?"

“Wow thanks. And it was pretty okay. Hella hungover though.” He sat down at the counter. So far he felt like he was succeeding at acting like he usually did.

"Oh, well, uhm, what do you normally do for that? I never really well, get drunk, so if you have anything in mind, just let me know and I can get it for you." Bennet was still acting like a mother hen, as usual, "Just okay? You were out for a long time though, I think, what time did you get back at?"

“Eh I’ll be fine. I got home around..” he squints, thinking. “Four am..?” He wasn’t exactly sure but that seemed about right.

"That's late, you should really get some more sleep, okay?" He stood up and headed to the sink, rinsing out his bowls, then putting them into the dishwasher, "Well, uhm, I'm going to let you be for a little while, let you rest or something, I have stuff I need to do today." His boss and a few other superiors had found matches to those pictures he had sent them, but he wasn't sure to exactly what yet, so he could go over them today.

“Okay. I might go back to sleep, I don’t know.” He couldn’t help but instinctively feel more anxious around Bennet. What if he already knew what Connor really was? He hadn’t encountered an angel before, and he didn’t know what Bennet would do to him. But for now he just tried to act normal.

Bennet nodded and headed back towards his room, "Well, I guess I'll see you later then." He closed the door behind him and began to set things up for the meeting. Once it began, Bennet just sat and listened to what was being said, it really wasn't his job to say anything or do much, but then the pictures were brought up. He wasn't addressed to speak, but he listened more intently, and began to grow a little nervous as his fears were made true, Those people.. .were demons? What about Connor? Then he spoke up, "Concerning my roommate, have you found anything on him?" Suprisingly they were yet to find anything about him, but they still advised Bennet to keep his distance, just for safety reasons now.

Connor went back to his own room, laying down on his bed with a sigh. He knew he shouldn’t be this nervous. Bennet wouldn’t actually hurt him..right? He wasn’t sure anymore. He was just going to keep his distance. He knew he should tell Alec. After all, Alec was around 2,000 years old, and knew a lot more than he did. But knowing how Alec liked to deal with things, he might just kill Bennet and Connor didn’t want that to happen.

Bennet was stressed to say the least when he got off that call, he unfurled his wings again and fluttered them slowly, just to relieve some tension out of them, What in the world do I do? If that Alec guy ever sees me again, I'll probably crack, and then he'll know that I know, and I'll probably die. It's not like I can fight, or defend myself, I should be back up in Heaven playing a friggen harp or something, I'm not cut out for any of this. Bennet sat down on his bed and just stared numbly at his wall, What in God's good green earth do I do?

Connor decided he might as well close his eyes and try to sleep. He lay down but ended up just staring at the ceiling, his mind clouded with worries. He didn’t want to get sent back to Hell. He hated it there. He knew he’d be at the bottom of the food chain again.

Bennet sighed, Maybe I should just talk to him about it? He stood up and headed over to Connor's room, and knocked on the door gently, "Hey, Connor? I think we need to talk." He knew that he was breaking every single rule and protocol, but he figured that it might be safe, or that he could at least just try to talk to him, "It's pretty important, please?"

Which of course, sent Connor into immediate panic mode. ‘Shit, shit, shit!’ He cursed internally. He didn’t know what to do. The first thing that popped into his mind was to pretend to be asleep. So that’s what he did, turned on his side, closed his eyes, and pretended like he’d already fallen asleep. You know…like a coward.

"Or not, that works too." Bennet sighed softly, "Never mind." He decided to just go for a walk to clear his mind. Before he headed out, he brushed off any loose feathers off his back, grabbed a cardigan, then headed out of the house, Well, it seems as though I'm in big trouble.

Connor had stayed hidden until he was sure Bennet was gone. He sat up with a sigh. “Wow good job, Connor, you handled that perfectly.” He said with literally all the sarcasm in the world. He knew he couldn’t just hide from Bennet forever, but he really really wanted to right now. He wandered into the kitchen, figuring he might as well eat while Bennet wasn’t here.

Bennet had taken his time coming back to the apartment, trying to come with something smart to say, or at least something that would make sense. If Connor really was one of them, then he would need to word his words wisely, so that Connor wouldn't decide to just kill him flat out. As he walked back to the apartment he wondered if it was even safe to go back, he didn't know what would happen, but he didn't want to just wimp out and hide from the other guy, that wouldn't be wise. And there weren't any other options. He pushed open the door, praying that this was the right thing to do when he saw Connor lounging on the couch, "Hey Connor? Are you busy now?"
