Bennet chuckled at the overtop reaction, "You are crazy, so, so crazy. . ." He shook his head the other boy and sat down next to him, eating some of his soup, "And I'm sorry that I killed you, remind me to attend your funeral." He turned Hulu on and pulled up Golden Girls, "I'm sure you'll love this show!"
“You better be paying for my funeral.” He grumbled under his breath in fake annoyance. “Did you bring me my food or do I have to go get it?” He asked, looking up at Bennet with pleading eyes like ‘please say you’ll bring it.’
"HHmph, you're asking a broke guy who just got out of college to pay for a funeral? You really must have done something on the way up here." Bennet said as he finally got comfortable on the couch. When he heard Connor's request, he wrinkled his nose in fake annoyance, "No I didn't. . .but I guess I'll go get it for you." He grumbled a little as he stood up, "But, if I'm getting you the food, we're going to watch at least the first season of this show." He said happily as he brought Connor's food back, "Deal?"
“Deal!” He said happily, taking his food from Bennet. “Thank you Bennet.” He smiled over at him innocently, batting his eyelashes jokingly. He settled into the couch, somewhat near Bennet.
"Good," He said happily, "Most of my friends hated this show, so I hope you like it, it's such a great show, and so many good messages and Sophia is hilarious." He began to ramble on and on about the show, "Wait, you'd probably prefer to actually just see it. Wouldn't you?" He had a tendency to just talk a lot about things that meant a lot to him, especially this show, "But really, you better like it, if not, I'll be really mad at you."
“I will do my absolute best to like it.” He said solemnly, and then immediately ruined the tone by adding on, “pinky promise?” And sticking his pinky out for Bennet to shake. This was one of the many reasons why he didn’t fit in with other demons.
Bennet chuckled softly, then stuck out his pinky too, "Pinky promise." He was honestly a little surprised that Connor would do something like that. he just didn't seem like that kind of person, but then again, Bennet was that kind of person too, so he didn't really mind. He situated himself on the couch again and grabbed his bowl of soup, before he turned on the show. He had the rest of his food on the counter, but he wasn't all too hungry yet, and plus, if it got cold they did have a microwave, so it wouldn't be too bad.
Connor smiled and put his hand back down at his side. He got comfy, probably pulling a blanket up over himself as well. As the show started, he picked up his food and would continue to eat.
After about a couple of episodes Bennet got up to get the rest of his food, "Sooooo, what do you think of the show? It's amazing, isn't it?" He really hoped that Connor would like it almost as much as he did, or just a little bit too. He sat back down next to the guy all smiles as usual, "But, if you don't like it, is there anything that you would like to watch instead?"
“No I actually really like it so far.” He said. It kind of surprised him too, he wasn’t expecting to like it this much. He still had a bit of his food left, and was wishing there was a lot more.
"I'm glad you do, some people like it, and some people hate it, it's just. . .one of those things, I guess." He shrugged then turned to look at Connor, "Are you still hungry? You can some of mine, actually you can have all of mine, I don't really mind, I can make myself a sandwich or something. Here!"
“No, no, no I don’t want to take your food.” He insisted, pushing it back towards Bennet as he tried to hand it over. “I’ll just go see what I can find, it’s okay.” He stood up before Bennet could try and change his mind.
Bennet grumbled a little, but took his food back, "Fineeeeee, I guess. But what's the fun of having fun food if you have no one to share it with? Exactly, so at least take a little bit, it'll make me very happy." He tried using his puppy dog eyes on Connor, at least for added effect, "Come on man, you're not being any fun right now."
He let out a long dramatic sigh, giving in. “Fine. But just one bite, okay?” He sat back down on the couch, sulking like a little kid. But really he wasn’t that upset about it. He didn’t mind.
"Good." He said smiling, and took a big piece of his food -nearly half- then placed it on Connor's plate, "Here you go." He leaned back with a smirk, then began to eat the rest of it, "Isn't it good?" He pulled his legs up so that he was sitting crossed legged, "You know what?"
He scowled at him. “Clever. But I’m not eating all of it.” He took literally the smallest of bites from it, just to mess with Bennet, sending a similar smirk in his direction. At hearing Bennet’s question, he replied quickly. “What?”
"HHmph, such a shame, and to think, I gave that to you out of the kindness of my heart." Bennet said - as usual- being completely overdramatic- then going back to his regular self sighed a little, "I'm sort of bored, not with you or anything, I just want to do something, I just don't know what yet." He shook his head a little, "Never mind, I don't need to bother you with this, I guess. . .I don't know, and now I'm rambling again. . .great!"
“Well now we have to go do something jeez!” He was now also being over dramatic and petty, as evidenced by how he rolled his eyes at Bennet. “So, got any ideas of what we could do for fun?”
"Talk? Get to know eachother? Play a board game? I don't know what's something fun that you like to do?" Bennet said shrugging, "I mean, I can always go back to room or something, and if you want to do something by yourself, I don't know, I mean I guess we could hang out, I mean I enjoy spending time with you. . ." He began to ramble a little bit, "Oh my goodness, I mean, yeah. . . How's that sound?"
“Mmmm…” he thought for a second. “Well I don’t really want to go back to my room….” he began to come up with some ideas in his head before eventually coming up with an idea he liked. “Ooh! How about truth or dare?”
"Ooh, that sounds fun. . .but aren't we a little too old for that, and you know, uhm not teenage girls?" He felt a slight bit self conscious about playing this sort of game, mainly since, from what he knew the game normally ended badly. People would be hurt, or well, hurt. . .but he was sure he'd be fine, "Uhm, okay then, let's play it, I'm sure it'll be fun!"
“Don’t judge me, it’s the first thing that came to mind and it’s a good way to get to know each other.” He sat up, looking over at Bennet. “So who goes first?” He asked. Connor wasn’t super worried, besides all the stuff about him being a demon, he didn’t have really anything to hide.
"I'm not judging, and I don't think I will, although you can feel free to judge me as much as possible, "How's that sound? And, uhm I can go first." He said as he turned to face Connor, "Well, uhm. . .truth or dare?" Thois ought to get interesting, Bennet just hoped he wouldn't get in too much trouble back in Heaven if told a white lie, or a real one. After all they did tell him to not let anyone know about what he really was, that would get in major trouble on Earth and in Heaven, with a result most likely being fired, then killed.
“Hmmmm truth!” He said excitedly. He was looking forward to see what Bennet would ask him. The guy didn’t seem like he was going to ask anything too insane.
"I. . .let's see here, let's start out with something a bit mild, and not well too. . you know." Bennet said trying to come up with a decent question, he then smiled happily when he thought up an extremely random one, "This is random, like really weird, but I couldn't think of anything else, so please just bear with me, okay? After you've dropped a piece of food, what's the longest time you've waited before actually eating it? You I mean don't have to answer it, if you don't want too."
