"History isn't dorky, scince is. . .And now I'm calling myself a dork. But history is cool too, I just wish that it was you know, less wars and battles and death and gone and stuff like that, and more peace and kindness the world could use so much more of that, you know?" He turned to look at Connor, wanting to see what he thought of that.

“Yeah that would be nice. But I honestly don’t think that people could ever not fight. That’s how humanity’s survived this long, by fighting and evolving. All the conflict is what makes the peace so much better.” He realized he’d accidentally started talking as if he wasn’t part of humanity, but it was too late to cover it up now. “Sorry..I start talking all weird like that sometimes. A side effect of being a recluse artist.”

"HHmph, they would be better off if they just treated each other not as rivals or enemies, but as a large, well family. There would be much less division and wars, therefore the world could just all grow together, not just some countries or people dominating others." He was yet to catch on that he was talking the same way, "What do you mean talking weirdly. . .Oh, uhm, yeah, I see what you mean, I mean I don't think it's weird, but okay.."

Connor shrugged. “I don’t know. I just don’t think it’d work out very well in the long run. I mean people have tried to make a system where everyone tries to work together but that usually ends in communism. Humans are just too selfish.”

"I. . .uhm. . .yeah, you're right." bennet knew that the other guy was right, it just made hims ad to think about that, "I wish that they weren't, I mean, I don't think everyone is, I mean everyone is at one or a couple times in their life, while others are always. But I just wish that people would show more respect and love to other people, that's all I want in this world, seriously, that's it, just a little bit of happiness for everyone."

“Yeah that’d be a nice world to live in.” He sighed wistfully at the thought. It would be nice for there to be a world like that. But sadly it was unrealistic. Thankfully he was spared having to think about it more as they got to the Chinese place. “Well here we are!” He said quickly.

Bennet finally perked up seeing the restaurant, "Oh, this place looks good!" Then came his multiple questions, "So, do you want to do take out? Or eat here? What do you want to eat?" And on and on and on, until he nrealised that they should probably go inside the restaurant first. So he opened the door, and let Connor in, "But, uhm, for me either or works, although I would like to go home, but it's up to you." He studied the menu for about two seconds before deciding what he wanted. Which was about half the menu, it was probably because he was hungry, but he felt that he could probably eat all that food, not that he was going to try, just two items would be enough for him.

“We should probably just do takeout, it’s getting kind of late. And I want to get back to the apartment too.” It only took him a quick glance at the menu to figure out what he’d want to eat too. “Well are you ready to order?”

"Yep, I'm ready." He headed into the short line and started mentally preparing how he would word his order. Bennet was normally terrible when it came to talking to strangers, especially if he was asking them to do something. His question would normally end up being more of a bunch of pleases instead of him asking his question, or whatever he was going to say. So he found that if he already had an idea of what he wanted to say, things would be a lot easier for him.

Connor stood behind Bennet, bouncing on the balls of his feet a little to entertain himself while he waited. And he was maybe just a little bit nervous about ordering. It never appeared that way, but he always felt an immense amount of anxiety before talking to strangers. The only time this didn’t really apply was when he was drunk. And whenever he was around his ‘friends’ that ended up being quite frequently.

The two eventually made it to the front of the line and Bennet trying to just get his food as soon as possible, quickly ordered his food then moved out of the way so Connor could order. Other than eating, he really wanted to get back to the apartment, change into some pajamas, and do nothing for the rest of the night. His friends from Heaven had said that they would drop in and visit him one of these days, and he seriously hoped it wouldn't be tonight. They'd find something to tease him about, and never stop with it. After a few minutes of him spacing out, he noticed that the person was motioning to him to pay. He handed over his credit card then waited for the receipt. "So, uhm, Connor? What did you order?"

“Hm?” He’d also started spacing out. It took him a second to process the question. “Oh yeah I just got some lo mein, it just sounded really good right now. What’d you end up getting?” He asked.

"OOh, that sounds yummy, I got the egg drop soup and I forgot. . .It really sucks when you have short term memory. I can remember really random and obscure things from my past or whatever, but at times I'll be having a conversation with someone, then I get sidetracked, and when I get back to the conversation I'll just be confused not able to remember what we were talking about. . ." He trailed off awkwardly, "Wait. . .what were we talking about before I got sidetracked?" He glanced around for clues then he remembered, "Oh, yeahhhhhhhh the food, I think I got egg foo young too." He smiled sheepishly, "Sorry, it's just a weird thing that happens to me a lot."

He laughed softly, smiling over at him. “It’s perfectly okay. I do some pretty weird things so having short term memory isn’t that strange. Honestly it’s kind of adorable.” He said, not thinking much if it. “But that might just be what I think I don’t know.”

"It's annoying, yesterday at work one of the trainer guys taught me how to make one of the coffee things, then I got distracted and he yelled at me when I messed it up.. . So, I wish I had a normal memory, like normal humans do." He sighed, "But what's your weird thing? Wait. . .that's sounds weird, I mean, you get what I was trying to say? Right?"

“That does sound annoying actually. And yeah I understand.” He paused in thought. “I don’t know..I just can’t talk to people very well for one. Sometimes I’m really moody too and that always sucks.” He shrugged. “Just random shit I guess”

"I think that few people are naturally good at talking to people though, so I don't think that you should worry about that. At least I don't, all the time, at least as much as I used to, I just try to just speak cleary, and try to get my point across, although I normally fail." He shrugged, "But, I get what you're saying, everyone have their weird things that they do."

He nodded. “Oh looks like our food’s ready.” He said as their number was called. “I’ll grab those and then we can head back home.” After saying so, he walked over to the counter, grabbing their bag of takeout before heading back in Bennet’s direction.

Bennet nodded, "Okay, let's roll." He started walking towards the door and opened it up, then forgot that Connor was behind him, the door nearly slammed in the guy's face, "Oh, I'm so sorry. . ." He chuckled a little bit, "Here, let me get that. . ." He opened the door again and let Connor through, "So, uhm do you like Golden Girls."

Connor couldn’t help but smile at Bennet’s awkward tendencies. In all honesty, they were pretty adorable. “Actually…I don’t think I’ve ever watched it.” Which was a surprise considering how long he’d been around. Just one of those things he never got to doing.

"You're kidding, when, we get back to the apartment, we are going to watch it!" He grabbed Connor's wrist and started to drag him down the street, trying to make sure that the guy didn't drop any of the food. "Come on, come on, come on!!!!!" When they got the building Bennet rushed up the stairs, "HURRY UP!!!!!!!!" He huffed impatiently, "Please?"

“I’m coming I’m coming!” He called back, a wide smile on his face. He hurried up the stairs, but definitely not as fast as Bennet. “I’ll be there in just a second…or maybe a minute.” He stopped for a quick break. “Have mercy on me, I’m carrying the food!”

Bennet rolled his eyes and he ran down the stairs over to where Connor was, "Oh come on, I'll take it." He grabbed some of the food from him, "It's not that bad, see?" He headed up the stairs, into the apartment and left the food on the counter, then began to set up his food while he waited for Coonor, although it really didn't take too long for the other guy to come in, "Wasn't that bad, right?" He chuckled as he turned on the TV.

“Nope it was awful and I’m dead now.” He exclaimed dramatically before falling onto the couch “BLAH I’m dead now you killed me”
