Bennet grumbled a little bit, "NoI'mnot." He grumbled a little more and glared a little bit down at him, "I'm not adorable, you are." He said shifting his position, "If anything, I'm . . .I'm. . .I'm not adorable, I just can't think of anything else to say about myself." He pouted a little bit.
“And that’s exactly why you’re adorable.” He said, gently poking Bennet’s cheek. “Therefore I win. Which meanssss, you’re the adorable one now, not me. Sorry about it.” He shrugged, not seeming all that sorry whatsoever.
Bennet glared at down at him, "No fair." He mumbled looking down at him, "Well thennnnnnnnnn, your hot, if I'm the adorable one, you're the smokin hot one. Kay?" He chuckled a little bit as if he had said a joke, "I mean, well, you are."
“Okay I’m fine with that.” He shrugged nonchalantly before letting his eyes slide shut. He shifted his grip on Bennet, pulling him closer, a content smile on his face.
Bennet sighed softly and rolled over a little bit, turning to the other side, "Fine then." He mumbled and kissed Connor on cheek again before turning his attention back to the TV again, "Night?" He said with a bit of sigh, noting that Connor seemed to be falling asleep again. HIs phone buzzed again, and he groaned. He picked it up out from under his pillow and checked his texts, they were all from Ashton, "Great. . ."
“Good..night…..” he whispered, unable to really stay awake anymore. But he did hear Bennet’s phone buzzing again. He didn’t believe that it was just Bennet’s coworkers. ‘But I’m sure it’s nothing for me to worry about…’ and with that he finally fell asleep.
Bennet sighed turning on his phone and grumbled as he read through the texts, I'm such and idiot, why oh why oh why did I sleep this jerk? Ashton was a rather interesting person, he seemed so sweet and nice when Bennet first met him, but now he seemed upset and wanted Bennet to come over now so that they could to talk. Which Bennet highly doubted they would do, but that was whatever. He wasn't going and that was that, but the thing now to do was sort of tell Connor about this, Maybe I don't need too, at least yet. I'm sure everything'll be fine. And with that he turned over, his head resting on a pillow, and went to sleep.
Connor began to wake up as the sun came up, filling the room with a warm glow. He’d slept well, feeling safe and at peace. Being near Bennet just did that for him. He yawned, rolling over to look at Bennet.
Bennet was still out and exhuasted, he hadn't slept too well waking up a couple of times in the middle of the night. Eventually he fell asleep, curled up in his wings. His conscience was a little heavy, but he was trying to justify his feelings. He hadn't done anything wrong, he didn't know that Connor felt that way about him, and they weren't dating, so why did it even matter? Maybe he'd figure it out later. His eyes opened a little bit and he smiled, happy to see Connor lying next to him, "Good morning, handsome."
“Good morning.” He smiled over at Bennet, leaning in and kissing his cheek. “Did you sleep okay?” He asked, propping himself up on the pillow with his elbow. He’d let his hair down at some point, a few strands now falling into his face.
He nodded slowly, as if he wasn't sure of himself, "Yeah, good enough." He gently touched Connor's hair, "It's sooo pretty!" He mumbled to himself as he moved his wings closer around him. "Much better." He said with a yawn as he started to fall asleep again, then his phone buzzed, "SHOOOTTT!" He sat up and grumbled under his breath, "I might as well throw this stupid thing away, that or a few choice coworkers." He turned off the sound and turned to Connor, "How did you sleep?"
He chuckled softly at Connor’s annoyance. “I slept pretty well actually, no nightmares or anything.” More hair fell in his face and he frowned before just blowing it out of the way. “This is so annoying sometimes I swear..” he grumbled.
"That must of been nice." he said with a smile, "HHm, are nightmares a normal thing for you?" He was curious as to what was going on, maybe, just maybe there was something he could do to help him, if he wasn't doing something already, but had no clue of it. "I like your hair the way it is. I think it's so nice, I mean, I'd like to how my hair out like that, but the last time I did I looked like a potato."
“Mm..I guess they’re pretty common for me. They either happen really frequently or it’s one really really bad nightmare but it’ll be the only one for like a month.” He smiled when Bennet complimented his hair. “Thank you. Aww you probably didn’t look like a potato.”
Bennet sighed softly, "That must be terrible, I would hate to have nightmares. The worst thing for me is waking up so many times in the night. I hate that so much." He grumbled a little, to show his annoyance to that, "You're welcome, but no, I did, I looked like an ugly potato."
“Well thank you for your sympathy.” He chuckled softly at hearing that. “It’s hard for me to believe that you’d ever be ugly. There’s literally no way someone could see that adorable face and think of you as ugly.”
Bennet grumbled, "I thought I was at least, and Gabe told me to cut it, so I did." He said with a shrug, as if that was that, "I mean, me and long hair just don't even sound right. . ." He trailed off, "I thought we talked about calling me adorable Connor? I'm not adorableeee." He said trying to stifle, but failing, a yawn.
He didn’t comment on the first part, although it was clear he wanted to. “We did talk about it, you are the adorable one. Those are just facts.” He shrugged. “Do you want to go back to sleep? You seem tired?”
Bennet groaned, and moved his wings so that he was curled up in his wings, "I'm not adorableeeee." He gave Connor the stink eye, then closed his eyes, "I'll wake up in a couple of minutes, just give me a second."
He chuckled softly. “Okay well I’m gonna go make some coffee, let me know when you wake back up.” He leaned over, gently kissing Bennet’s cheek before standing up, heading to the kitchen.
Bennet nodded, "Ermkay." He mumbled as he rested his head down on a pillow and tried to go back to sleep, but he couldn't fall back asleep, Oh god, I'm so tired. He picked up his phone and decided that he'd just block Ashton for now, it'd be one less problem to think about right now.
Connor did get his cup of coffee, feeling his body slowly wake up. He let out a content sigh, looking out the window and watching as the sun continued to rise. Things felt perfect right now, almost too perfect.
After a few minutes of just lying around and doing nothing, he got up and walked into the kitchen. He rubbed the sleep from his eyes, and stopped at one of the mirrors to fix his bedhead, Huh, it doesn't actually look too bad for once. But my wings. He shuddered Are a completely different story. He gently moved his feathers back into place before heading into the kitchen, "Mmm, that coffee smells really good."
“I left some for you if you want it.” He said, turning away from the window and walking back into the kitchen. He pulled out a chair, sitting down at the counter and watching Bennet move around.
"So sweet of you." He trudged ober to the coffee maker and poured himself a cup. Taking sips of it, he began to make himself his standard breakfast, which as usual, was cereal in two separate bowls. He sat down and quietly began to eat his breakfast, "I swear, I might tae a nap later today."
