Nico managed to dodge when Brenn threw back at him, flipping him off over his shoulder as he continued to channel surf.
Brenn sighed shaking his head, "You suck man, you suck. . ." He said, not paying attention to him anymore and now just focusing on Sadie, petting her gently, "I think I like your dog better than you."
“Everyone likes my dog more than they like me. She’s an angel.” He said, finding something on the tv. “Is this good?” He asked.
"Yeah sure, I really don't care." Brenn said with yet another shrug. "so has anyone been bothering you about this? I mean Alec has just been weirded out and stuff, but that's it for me. And the other guys seem to scared to approach me."
“Well Vic was the only one who really had a violent outburst about it.” He said, tossing the remote back on the couch, where it would no doubt get lost again. “I feel kind of bad, it almost felt like I was gaslighting him or something.”
"Meh, it's Victor, he'll be fine eventually." Brenn said with a chuckle leaning back against the couch. "He'll forgive and forget, and he get over it. The guy tries to act big bad and tough or whatever, but he's really just a teddy bear. You know?" He said with a shrug, looking over at him.
“That’s very much true.” He said, chuckling softly. “But besides him, no one’s really directly confronted me about it. But I’ve been getting weird looks a lot from most of the others.”
Brenn smiled, "Yeah me too. I just, it's weird. . ." He said, shaking his head a little bit, "I just, it's dumb. . ." He gently rubbed Sadie's side, "I don't get it, these people have dated eachother before, but when we just joke about it, they go nuts."
He shrugged, not understanding it anymore than Brenn did. “They’re dumbasses and hypocrites that’s why. Like I love them but they need to chill.”
Brenn nodded along to what he was saying, "These people are idiots sometimes. . ." They are practically fools all the time."
“Yeah. Maybe it’s because we’re some of the only queer people there? I don’t know, man. Either way, it’s stupid.”
"They don't well, I think you know about my sexuality. But I never exactly, well, I had never made any of relationships known to any of them and stuff, so they sort just figured that I had a girlfriend somewhere or whatever." He said with a sigh, "Not like I would've told them about that either. I don't like it when they know about my personal stuff."
“Yeah…not telling them about your personal life is usually the best way to go. For me, I don’t really have anything that I want to hide though so my business is kind of just all out in the open now.” He shrugged.
Brenn nodded, "Yeah, they're good people, but they are jerks when it comes to not telling a person's business to the whole world. You know?"
“Mhm. Never tell them secrets. It’ll always get around to the rest of the group and it sucks.” He sighed.
"Yeah, I mean, I sort of trust you. Actually, I trust you a lot. If that even makes sense. You just, hhm . . .you just seem honest, like someone I could tell things too, you know?"
“Yeah I guess that makes sense. Like with you I know you’re not going to go talking about me behind my back. You just don’t seem like that type of person.”
Brenn smiled happily, "I'm glad that you feel that way about m. And I hope to actually stay true and do that." He said, his eyes happy from the compliment. "I'm hungry." He said abruptly, sort of ruining the quiet moment, "What do you have in the fridge?"
Nico smiled briefly, just for a quick second, but it was genuine. “Ummm I don’t know dude. I think I might have some Chinese food left in there? I’m not sure though…”
"Okay, well. I'm going to eat it all, just saying." Brenn said, walking into the kitchen, rummaging through the fridge, "Dude, you have a lot of food in here."
“Ouch okay then. I have a lot of food because I eat a lot of food. Also I never know when a bunch of people will drop by unexpectedly and want me to feed them.”
Brenn rolled his eyes, and instead of taking some of the guy's takeout food, he just grabbed some chips and took the bag with him to the living room, "Want some?"
“Yeah that’d be great thanks.” He said, leaning over to grab some chips.
Instead of sitting on the floor this time, he just sat down on the couch next to him. "You know, had I known I was staying, I would have brought Moose with me."
“Ooh! Yes! You should definitely bring him next time, he seems like a cute little guy.” He chuckled softly. “Sadie’s a good girl so she won’t try and eat him either.”
