I was listening to a ton of rad songs and got inspired to re-create fun summer nights with the boys.

The Prompt:

• It’s summer, you’re on a road trip. How all good things start off, of course. You’re with all your boys, and you guys are having a grand ol’ time. With you guys all going off to college in different states within the next few weeks, it’s your job to make this one last week an absolute banger. So, through the power of fake ID’s, the ever-complicated road trip, maps you … try to read, and a whole lot of loud music, maybe you can finish your group bucket list before adult life calls.

Hopefully that was easy to understand. I kind of just want a super close group of tight-knit homies having the best time on a road trip before they all leave for college, and getting into a ton of mischief. _{(maybe there could be romance, but don’t try to push it. Or do. I don’t care, dude)}

Name: Joshua Alexander Chastain

Nicknames: Joshy and Granpa JJ (It's sort of become a joke among his friends and family due to the way he acts))

Occupation: He's currently working as a tour guide for one of the nearby hiking trails, and at the moment he likes it. He sort of just gets to do what he likes and hang out with other people.

Appearance: He could be considered to be a bit on the tall side hitting around 6 foot nothing. In contradiction to his sweet demeanor he normally looks pretty angry, or the resting bitch face. He has a mop of curly brown hair, which in his opinion is one of the worst things in the world since he can't brush it out or anything, so it just normally looks like he has messy hair. His skin is covered in freckles since he spends most of his time outdoors. Which explains why he always keeps at least two compasses on him, along with a backpack full of bare essentials for surviving in the wilderness, and with his friends because for some reason the gas tank always seems to be empty.

General personality: He is a marshmallow of a person, and is a major sweetheat. He loves protecting his friends and making sure they're okay and taken care of. He justs like making sure that they're safe and okay. Even though he has gotten into a fight or two because of that. At times he doesn't know when to just let a situation go and move on.

Origin/rough backstory: Well, he had a pretty decent childhood. Great parents great older brother, and he loved life, until he got to high school, at that point he was still trying to figure himself out, then he met the guys and sort of well made a good friend group or something. He just well feels really welcomed and yeah.

(Ngl, he's probably going to end up driving and halfway through the trip he'll turn around and scream, "DO YOU WANT ME TO TURN THIS CAR AROUND? CAUSE I WILL!!))

Personality: Few words: baby, punk rock, loves his friends. Those are really the essentials of his personality. He’s seen as innocent from the rest of his friends, and always believes himself to be cooler, colder, and more reserved than he really is. He’s pretty emotional, and absolutely adores all of his friends like they’re his family. Rocks is absolutely centered around that sort of unity, and hates being alone, despite him always trying to seem like a “lone wolf.” He’s terrified to go off to college, but is gaining that confidence through the people around him. He really needs to be built up, and if he doesn’t have external validation, he can doubt all of his decisions.
Mannerisms: Twirls his rings / Chews on his necklace charms / is generally fidgety with anything in his hands / taps out beats without even knowing
Hobbies: Playing music (violin especially, but he’s really trying to learn electric guitar because it’s ‘cooler’) / Writing in his notebook that no. one. is allowed to read / Playing with his two big dogs

Physical Appearance: He stands at about 5’6”, with hair dyed black. However, it’s growing out and he hasn’t had the chance to dye it again, so it looks super awkward with little blonde strands beneath pitch black locks. He likes his hair shorter, so it’s cut to fall just above his ears. He brushes it up and to the right, parted on the left, but it always seems to fall into his face regardless. His skin is oddly tan for him staying inside all the time, and is generally spotless except for little patches of temporary acne, usually on his hairline. His eyes are an oddly light blue, almost grey— and he really wants them to be more grey, because supposedly it makes him ‘look cooler’. The dude’s a thin kid, too— but he holds most of his weight around his broader shoulders.
Normal Attire: Any graphic T’s of his favorite bands, like System of a Down or The Dear Hunter, even Lit, too. That and cuffed jeans, that are usually ripped by his own devices. He’s a big accessory nerd, having a few ring bands on either hand, along with a few leather bracelets. He also has three necklaces he won’t be caught dead not wearing— a music note on a chain from his father, a guitar pick on a string from his little sister, and dog tags from his mother.

Backstory: tbd, really. His dad was a classical musician who gave Rocky his own violin, and his mom was in the military for the majority of his life. As of recent, however, she left to spend time with her son before he was sent off to college, and to care for her new(er) daughter.

Personality: He's very kind hearted and is sort of the family therapist between his friends and family. Always has food and a first aid kit on him because he's used to watching his friends get hurt. He's also really smart and tends to be a bit of a grammar natzi. Gets really pissed off if he's disturbed when in what he calls "The Zone" which is when he's in a writing trance.
Mannerisms: Chews on his nails, scratches at his acne under his chin, pops his knuckles repeatedly when nervous,or hums musicals.
Hobbies: volunteering down at the local cat house,doing drag and being feminine in general, along with helping with LGBTQ+ stuff in the community. Fundraiser's and what not.

It doesn't have a specific style, he just keeps it trimmed. Otherwise it kinda goes wherever. He has a pretty feminine angular face, and he regularly wears makeup. He's pretty skinny and stands at 5'6, he has deep blue eyes, and freckles all across his shoulders.
Normal Attire: Usually a t-shirt and jeans, nothing fancy. He does adore wearing dresses and skirts though, but for this trip? Anything he doesn't mind getting dirty. He also has a gay pride flag edged in gold on his shoulder.

Backstory: (optional) I'm not gonna add much but. He is the eldest son of 16 adoptive children.

Personality: Leans more towards the silent strong type yet uses actions that are bigger than words. Milo is actually a clingy-cuddly kind of guy; there's no point in trying to escape his grasp. He has a lot of heart, but is not afraid to knock someone down as well. In a way, you can call him a daredevil or troublemaker. Not afraid to be blunt or flirtatious at times, but keeps any worry or troubles to himself. You'll always see him smile or acting extra (possibly even hyper-energetic) around people he's close to, like his friends.
Mannerisms: Cursing, twirling his hair, standing behind someone, pinching the side of his neck, cuddling the person closest to him
Hobbies: Swimming, Watching dramas, Reading (especially to kids), Dance, Boxing, and Napping

Physical Appearance: Milo stands at six three and three quarters, but just tells everyone that he's six four. He weighs one hundred ninety-five pounds. The dude has a rectangular shaped body as well as a fit swimmer's build. Originally, he had light brown hair but now dyes it every other month. Currently it is rose red and compliments his dark nut brown eyes. It is short in the front but goes down to the lower part of his neck. His skin is fair yet easily gets tan when under the sun for a couple of hours.
Normal Attire: For the most part, Milo wears a lot of tee shirts and tight black jeans. Or he goes for a tank top instead. The color palette with his clothes are red, black, blue, purple, white, and gray. His favorite shoes are black running sneakers. He typically wears some earrings like black plain studs or pearls. On his right ring finger, he wears a jade ring which his mom used to wear when she was younger.
Backstory: There's not much to say for himself, Milo doesn't really remember much to begin with. He grew up near a swimming pool and believed that spirits existed. Since both of his parents were busy, he was raised by his two older brothers. His dad died when he was twelve due to a car crash.
