“Shoulda brought Blink and Beans,” Rocky muttered, even though he knew it was an absolute joke. The two massive dogs may have not even left enough room in the RV for the boys. “They’d love some colder weather than here, and assuming our route is going north, that’s just where they’d love to be.”
As Mozzart made his was over, Rocky met the cat with equal enthusiasm and a variety of pets and scritches, offering the same to Moose as the little bird landed nearby.
“And— Evan— fine. But you better play some good jams, Josh,” he continued, voice all mushy like he was talking to a child, eyes still locked on Mozzart.
Feeling a jab, he tried to each out to get Teigei back. Milo yawned as he decided to give up and sit back in his seat. "No need to fear, I'll be energized by the time it's my turn.", he assured. Right after shutting his eyes, he could feel something at the back of his head. It was hard for him to not let out a giggle and a smile. Must be Ren. He put his arm behind him trying to gently pat the top of Ren's head. "I had some business to do, Sir, but from now I shall obey your law and get at least seven hours of sleep."
Evan watched Mozzart get spoiled with a smile, mostly keeping to himself as he sat there in the back, watching it all go on. "Mozzy…that bird is looking at you." The cat glanced at it, and almost seemed to shrug with the way he ignored and kept putting, licking Rocky's nose and rolling over onto his back for belly rubs, adoring all the attention he was getting. Evan just shook his head and texted his mom on his phone. "Oh! There's a fair happening that will be happening if we arrive soon enough! Let's see how many rollercoasters it takes us to puke." He cried out with a smile.
"Sure, you can drive," Teigi agreed. "But… I call shotgun!" he exclaimed, jumping into the passenger's seat. He stretched back, grabbing his backpack and dragging it beside his seat. Ren decided to hitch a ride, and leapt onto the bag, causing Teigi to chuckle. "I think the pets are enough in-flight- in-drive? Entertainment. In-drive entertainment. And that fair sounds awesome! There's a few amusement park scenes in my latest work-in-progress, and it'd be perfect for inspiration!" Teigi always seemed to be talking about a new work-in-progress, sometimes it was a collection of poetry, sometimes a romance novel, sometimes an adventure. It was often difficult to tell exactly which one he was mentioning at any point in time.
