Dark Fantasy and Horror

Mortem is a world filled with monsters and dark magic. There are no stars, just a large moon, you will never see the sun. Humans have always been at the bottom of the food chain, and almost went extinct, but most of the, are too determined to live. Many of these men had the desire to rise above, and slay all of the monsters, or at least defend their homeland. These brave heroes who volunteered, or who were forced to risk their lives to fight off these evil beasts were granted the title "Monhu" (monster hunters.)

Magic is ONLY within items and the enviroment, while some monsters possess magical abilities.

There's no technology, just mechanics.
