So poor anything modern except for clothes is nonexistent. Most people live in simple wood or stone houses. The small, rich upper class live in huge medieval-y castles and palaces. The south is all scrubby desert though not very hot, in the middle and extending to the north are freezing mountains, every where else, known as the Blank, is dull and mostly lifeless except for the dense forest surrounding the icy wasteland at the base of the mountains.

Shaciel was taken to Mount Dagey. Mainer's bunker is at the base of Mount Dagey. Sleurin's castle is between the desert and the Blank. The Imperial Palace is located at the point where the forest, the Black desert, and the Blank meet. The surrounding countries are Asdyr(waiting to jump in but not aggressively aggressive) and Minari(small and harmless but rich). The year is 301 AC(After Collapse).

It's basically Earth but no one knows that for sure, if they even know what Earth is. After oil ran out, hundreds of countries couldn't pay for food so everyone was starving, and they all united to try to take over the big rich healthy countries, which resulted in World War Five plus a bunch of disease weapons some of which turned people into like werewolves and vampires etc., and basically no one won and everything fell apart and most countries were just like "Meh" and went back to empires and kingdoms and such, hoarding all their money and letting their people basically do what they want like. Eventually, vampires rose to domination because they spread by bite which is much easier than family inheritance like werewolves, and werewolves are a lot more violent and threatening than vampires so the human population hated them.
