karuko has long hair that goes just below her shoulders, it's quite wavy but sometimes she straightens it. most of the time she wears it out but occasionally, she will put it up in a ponytail, space buns or twintails.

karuko practically lives in yellow. yellow hoodies, yellow tops, yellow trainers, you name it. she owns many branded items of clothing (mainly hoodies) and has arguably the best fashion sense in the trio. she likes wearing cargo trousers, crop tops, windbreakers, fanny packs and chunky shoes. when people think of karuko masae, they imagine her in a yellow 'golf' tee, light blue jeans (cuffed, obviously), white socks and chunky filas.

she shakes her head a lot, she is the loudest and most sociable of the three, it goes without saying that she's also the funniest and most entertaining. when she gets an idea (that may or may not get her and her friends into trouble), she mischievously grins and puts her fingertips together like a cartoon villain.

her mother and other adults often baby her because of her narcolepsy, and she feels like they treat her like she's fragile.

she's good at painting, basketball, gaming and peeling a banana with her toes. she also knows a lot about knives and how to throw them.

narcolepsy: an extreme tendency to fall asleep whenever in relaxing surroundings.
cataplexy: usually with narcolepsy, a sudden physical collapse though remaining conscious.
due to this, she is an ambulatory wheelchair user.
she shows many symptoms of intermittent explosive disorder, though she has not been officially diagnosed yet.

she was born in tulsa, oklahoma to japanese parents, but they moved to oregon when karuko was three. she has a younger sister called kinuko who is asexual-aromantic.
karuko's father became terminally ill when she was five and unfortunately passed away after her fifteenth birthday.
