Feel free to add more ideas! These are the ones I could come up with so far :)
Here are my characters (as an example I guess):
Ren:
- She would first freak out, then attempt to calmly assess the situation and try to think of a plan to survive.
- Weapon of choice: Gun
- Status: Clean
- Homebase: The apartment she shares with Chan and the others
- Survival status: Yes, she survives
- Role: Sort of like the leader, seems more level-headed than the others
Chan:
- He would first react with disbelief, then panic, and finally determination to survive
- Weapon of choice: Knife
- Status: Clean
- Homebase: The apartment he shares with Ren and the others
- Survival status: Yes, he survives
- Role: Scout - looks around any new area for zombies
Zephyr:
- She would first react with disbelief and then acceptance of what is to come
- Weapon of choice: Teeth, claws
- Status: Clean
- Homebase: Ren and Chan's apartment
- Survival status: Yes, she survives
- Role: Supply runs
Lucas:
- His reaction would be the same as Zephyr's
- Weapon of choice: Machete
- Status: Clean
- Homebase: First his aunt's restaurant, later Ren and Chan's apartment after his aunt gets bitten
- Survival status: No, he doesn't survive TT (willingly tries to fight off a horde to protect the rest of the group - gets overwhelmed by sheer numbers)
- Role: Brawler, scout
Elyas:
- His reaction would be similar to Chan's
- Weapon of choice: Fire
- Status: Bitten
- Homebase: Ren and Chan's apartment
- Survival status: No, he doesn't survive TT (gets bitten on a supply trip)
- Role: Medic
Himari:
- Her reaction would be similar to Ren's
- Weapon of choice: Gun
- Status: Bitten
- Homebase: Ren and Chan's apartment
- Survival status: No, she doesn't survive TT (gets bitten in the same supply trip as Elyas)

(You know, I find it funny that I found this discussion; I happen to have a bunch of Zombie Apocalypse characters I'd like to share. So, here's those ones and then maybe I'll share some of my non-zombie apocalypse characters in a zombie apocalypse. So, if I may.)
Emily:

- No, she completely forgets about the apocalypse and is bitten while trying to go to High School.
Alex:
- Full on panic and anxiety attack
- Gun
- Status: Clean
- Abandoned church
- Yes
Katie:
- Doesn't care in the least
- Knife (even as a zombie)
- Status: Bitten
- A tall tree in the local park
- No, she literally places her arm in a zombie's mouth
Emma:
- Panic and Disgust
- Scythe
- Status: Clean
- Her parents' house
- Yes
Ooooo this looks like fun. I added one more idea! Basically what role your character would be in the group. Eg: the one who goes on supply runs or the one who's the first to die.
Varian:
- Reaction: Somehow he missed the news report and didn't realise the world was going to shit until the very last second, and by that point, he doesn't have time to panic.
- Weapon of choice: Hmmm, well it depends on the universe this is set in. If it's one that includes magic, then he'd use his flute to cast spells and perhaps even control the zombies. If not, then he'd settle for a machete.
- Status: Bitten. (but it wouldn't happen until the very end)
- Homebase: Wherever is convenient. Literally, this boy would sleep in a tree. That is, until he discovers Alune's lab and pesters him enough to be granted entry.
- Survival status: It's likely that he'd get bit saving somebody else. Whether he dies or not hangs on the cure being made in time. Knowing Alune though, the cure would be created within seconds of Varian getting bit.
- Role: It changes. He's the leader (sometimes) and the guy who should have died a bunch of times already but keeps getting lucky. If this is set in the magic universe, it's likely he'd be accused of causing the apocalypse since he uses dark magic - and trying to control the zombies would only further fuel that belief.
Alune:
- Reaction: A weird mixture of surprise, fascination, and panic.
- Weapon of choice: He's not really a fighter, but I'm sure Leaoni would force him to carry a knife/gun at all times. He's the smart bean of the group and would probably manufacture weapons and armour to keep everyone else safe.
- Status: Bitten. However, he'd be immune. (He's THAT character).
- Homebase: It's likely that after being bitten he'd seclude himself in his lab - which he's added fortifications too. If that place got overrun then he'd most definitely have a mental breakdown.
- Survival Status: Depends. I want to say alive, but I also think he'd be the one to discover the cure. Assuming that he IS the cure, it might cost his life to create it.
- Role: The immune one, the brains and the craftsman.
Sana:
- Reaction to the news: Panics big time and goes to her friend Takeo's house.
- Weapon of choice: Again, depends on the universe. If they're in a universe with magic she'd use her fans to manipulate the wind. If not, Takeo would probably teach her how to shoot with a bow and arrow.
- Status: Clean.
- Homebase: Wherever Takeo or Kallai go.
- Survival status: Yes, she survives.
- Role: Mascot and the medic.
Leaoni:
- Reaction: She wouldn't believe the news at first, but when she realises it's true, she'd probably get drunk and smash a bunch of stuff. Then she'd do everything in her power to protect her baby brother.
- Weapon of choice: If we're in the magic universe, fire, if we're not then a chakram.
- Status: Clean.
- Homebase: With Varian in the tree until Alune lets them into the lab.
- Survival status: She definitely survives.
- Role: The brawler and the one who goes on supply runs.
Frost:
- Reaction to the news: Surprise, panic, then starts plotting. Latches himself onto the first strong, capable-looking person he comes across (probably Kallai)
- Weapon of choice: A staff. (or ice magic if we're in the magic universe)
- Status: Clean.
- Homebase: A shopping mall.
- Survival status: It's unlikely Frost would survive an apocalypse. Though I think he'd be killed by other people rather than zombies.
- Role: Never knows what's happening but he's great at boosting morale.
Kallai:
- Reaction to the news: He'd be fine until the army/government collapsed. After that, he'd have a brief moment of panic before coming up with at least ten different action plans.
- Weapon of choice: An odachi.
- Status: Clean.
- Homebase: He'd either support Frost's idea of fortifying a shopping mall or pull a Rick Grimes from The Walking Dead and take over a prison.
- Survival Status: He's definitely the most sensible and practical, so he'd probably survive.
- Role: Weapons expert, the brawler and occasionally the leader

Heavy guns. 50. caliber bullets against decaying flesh? You have penetrating power right there. Those bullets could go through 20 heads without slowing down.

Yes, but mostly thanks to the others. They went and rescued her from her house when her part of town got overrun.

Supply runs/scout. She isn't nearly as good at fighting as the others are, but she can definitely help. She's fairly nimble.
