Dude same, I've seen it like fifteen times already. As someone exploring a major in digital media design specifically for animation, SAD-ist never fails to amaze me. And I freaking love watching the members of the SMP react to those kinds of things. Tommy always gets super enthusiastic about them (as with most things), and then Tubbo constantly looks awestruck. Eret's reacted to a lot of these, too, tho I haven't seen if he's reacted to The Fall one yet!

How long have you been a fan of the Dream SMP, by the way?

uhhh not long first i started watching dream cuz hes getting supppper popular then i saw the first dream smp sad-ist animatic (haha spoilers am i right) and i was like "WOAAHHHHHH" so i started watching wilbur (and became a huge fan) then i got really into it and started watching tommy and fundy as well THEN WILBUR JUST BECAME A BETTER VERSION OF JD FROM HEATHERS AND IM MORE OBSESSED THAN IVE EVER BEEN BEFORE and now i cant stop thinking about how amazing it is and how much i love wilbur haha

Lmfao, we're the same, you and I. Except I started watching Tommy first 'cause I saw people talking about him, and then the animatic was uploaded about two months later, and then by that time I was watching like eighteen different perspectives lmao. But MAN, am was I a huge simp for Wilbur.

Also can I just talk about how at the end of The Fall animatic (SPOILERS IN CASE SOMEONE WHO HASN'T SEEN IT READS THIS 'CAUSE I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO THE SPOILER THING), Tommy's all like "I have the Blade" and Techno's like "See you're saying things, but in reality–"

i love techno hes so cool i started watching him after i saw the dream smp and hes just the coolest ever

He really really is! Something about his monotonous tone of voice all the time, or the fact that he's always "quoting" Sun Tzu. Not to mention the fact that everyone calls him "The Blood God". ALSO, THE FACT THAT THE SLEEPY BOIS NOW OFFICIALLY INCLUDES TOMMY MAKES MY HEART MELT.

Im still super new to all of these guys but theyre so cool!! i wanted to be wilbur for halloween but i decided to be dream because the costume would be easier and more people would recognize him and it turned out greatttt!

Oh very fair, it'd be kinda hard to dress up as a recognizable Wilbur Soot unless you had the L'Manberg uniform and a beanie…and were 6'5". Although having Hard Boiled playing from a portable speaker and shouting "I'm the dirty crime boy!!" in a British accent would probably help. I considered doing something like that, but then we didn't end up going out at all for Halloween… But oh well. There's always next year.

yea i wasnt planning on going out and just wanted to dress up hah but my friends did end up dragging me along to go to look for buckets of candy outside people door hah and dressing up as a super cool minecraft player imma just say thats a great feeling

Dressing up like a badass is bound to make you feel like one lmao. Not to mention his smiley face mask that everyone draws him in is sinister (in a good way, though). I have yet to make a character concept of him that I'm proud of, but I did do a thing with a Techno concept I came up with!

i love thatttt ive done a few drawings of dream (just two hah) but theyre all based off of most of the fanart ive already seen but i will probably do more i know one of them is on my instagram but the other is gonna be the art for commision examples but my favorite "fanart" is the costume i made the mask with some paper plates i put three together and cut them up and but sting on them, i also got a white facemask and drew a smile on it so i have two masks hah the rest of the costume is just the green hoodie and a sword from amazon (and an axe but that still hasnt arrived)

I tend to fall into the trap of stealing from other people's ideas, too, so it's not just you. I mean, SAD-ist's Techno design seems to have been pretty much decided as the go-to for the community now (not that I'm complaining, I love the idea of him wearing a mask, too). Even still, when I make a character concept I try to look at specifically what makes the person them, first, in terms of personality, and then I'll look at iconic moments/symbols and try to change it up a bit. Like with my Techno concept, I pulled from the idea that he loves action and so I wanted to draw him in a more dynamic pose. And then I took components from his Minecraft skin and the few pictures of him out there to throw together a basic design. There's still parts of it I'll probably end up tweaking, like his robe/cape, but otherwise I'm kinda sold atm.

Also, I love the idea of using paper plates to make a mask lmao. I was very tempted to do something along those lines, myself, but like I said, we didn't go out for Halloween.

my instagrams blueberrybluejay if u wanna check it out hah and i mostly just look at other fanart for mine im not creative when it comes to basing character designs off of something existing which is why my ocs tend to be more "designed" then fanart would

I will definitely check it out!! And fair enough, making something others would consider "original" is really really hard most of the time.

i had a long period of being scared of drawing fanart so now when i do it theres alot of trying to copy what ive seen in it instead of adding my own ideas in fear of other people judging them (haha i hate anxiety) but ive been trying to get myself to draw more fanart i have to thank dream and the whole dream smp for getting me back into being in a fandom because it's been years since i was really in a fandom

Hey guys! (I'll check out your instagram later Blueberry <3) I totally get the whole art anxiety. I tried drawing some fanart of the SMP and was honestly surprised that it turned out decent-

I get that, I'm great at copying other people's art but when it comes to my own I tend to get anxious, too.

Ooh, I might try the six fanarts thing too, eventually. I want to come up with a concept for everyone I watch on the smp, tho, so that takes priority in my mind. I was considering making an animatic/animation for the dream smp, but I'd like to do one of some of my ocs first after nanowrimo. But I'll get around to it eventually! Maybe…

How old are y'all, btw? You don't need to answer if you'd rather not share, but in case you were wondering, I'm 18. Just asking 'cause Blueberry mentioned being younger than Tommy, and that's my cousin's age, so I'm just curious.
