(Sorry for the wait! I'm not sure how long of an opener you wanted, so I went for a bit of a shorter one just for the sake of getting something up)
Estrid wiped her brow as she paused from her work in the garden. Her pale hands were caked in dirt, and a proud amount of weeds made up a pile outside of the fenced-in area. It was only mid-morning, and already she was hard at work. She had already made food just hours ago, and this was her next task of the day. Weeding the garden. Summer was going to draw to an end soon, and they couldn't risk losing any of their vegetables to the weeds that threatened.

Still, even if she had many more tasks to do, she needed a little of a break. Brushing off most of the dirt onto her skirts, she stepped out of the garden and headed towards the woods behind her family home. End of summer or not, the water of the creek would still be cool. And that was what she needed to cool herself down and wash off the grime that settled under her fingernails. A bath would be needed tonight to wash her mess of curly red hair and the rest of her body, but a simple wash of her hands would work for now.

Daniel was hiding from the creatures trying to find him. Already being hunted and have only been out for 10 minutes He hissed under his breath. He knew he'd be caught If he didn't find a way to escape but there was no escape. It's Run and Hide for him. He grabbed a rock and chucked it on the other side. The creatures Turned around and ran after it. Free..at last, He smiled. He ran off not trying to trip.
As he entered the woods he saw someone else enter as well. Holy Cr- he thought, getting cut off by him tripping on a twig. He fell to the floor and grunted."Great… Mud on my clothes…" He said quietly Jumping up again. He started running again and to his luck, which he hadn't had much, ran into Estrid, not realizing she wasn't human because there was mud covering his eyes. He cleaned it and staired at Estrid. Oh crap… Now I've done it…

Estrid had just finished washing off her dirty hands when she heard something run through the forest. She frowned, but as she couldnt' easily see where they were, she stood calmly…only to have someone run square into her. She stumbled back, shocked by the contact as she looked between her now dirty clothes and who had just run into her.

She could hardly believe her eyes at the sight of the other before her. This was definitely no human. Had a Fae really just run into her? She had thought all of their kind had been hunted to death.

Her thought swirled around in her mind, leaving her speechless for several long seconds before she scowled at the thing, curious about the creature but also quite frustrated that she was now covered in mud. "You're not human…are you?"
