I'm just putting this here because the limited role-play section can be rather slow. Not too sure about plot, maybe some romance, but just trying to get some extra writing in :) Looking for someone who's pretty active too

If you need a writing sample, I can get one! I'm fairly active (though on and off sometimes because school exists). We can discuss plot after if you're interested in role playing with me.

Same with school, so don't worry about that :) And feel free to post a writing sample! I used to be super active on this site, so I'm just trying to get back into it.

Okay! Anyways, here are some writing samples!

Nothing could describe how she was feeling at the moment. There were so many emotions hitting her at once, all from one statement said to her. She felt as if everything up to this point was nothing more than a lie. She never expected this to be the truth. Her own mother, someone kind and caring, had actually been a murderer this whole time. She felt betrayed, though simultaneously angry and in disbelief. She didn't want to believe that her mother was guilty of such a thing. Only a teenage girl at the time, she swore that she would find the true culprit. To think that the world could be so corrupt.

((Not sure why this was my first idea… I usually just write fluff and angst, not this kind of drama… An example of my usual writing now))

Tears were streaming down her face as she ran out the door. Anger, betrayal, and heartbreak hit her all at once. Her girlfriend broke up with her, only a week from their year anniversary, while on a date. She knew she messed up somehow, that she acted in a way that made her now ex no longer want to be around her. She thought back to her impulsive tendencies, how she'd get angry and jealous easily. It was from then on that she'd just act as if she was fine for the sake of those she loved. Hiding her emotions would be hard, but it was better than hurting someone.

Weeks passed, and she found someone new. She was still distant with her new girlfriend when it came to negative emotions. She'd only express them when alone, letting them out on a nearby object before crying, occasionally drawing or writing to help. It's not like her girlfriend didn't know something was wrong; it was quite obvious. She did notice that she grew closer to her, just a bit more open with her emotions, whenever they'd hang out together. She was going to help the one she loved through whatever was wrong. She was going to help her accept and love herself again.

That's not from any rp; just a couple samples I've been using recently. If you'd like a sample from an actual role play, I can send one, too!

As for plots, I usually go with something pretty realistic. I wanna try some romance out, so if you're okay with that! I was thinking maybe something mxm and set in Greece (kind of like Song of Achilles if you've heard of that), it can make for an interesting plot. We could input some sort of god/spirits thing, or even a war to spice it up. Or, I really like a victorian/old money theme (maybe like the range of Pride and Predjudice?) I'm more experienced with mxm romance for no reason, but it can make for another cool plot during that time period. But, I'm super open to any ideas or time periods, so if you have any ideas we can loosely sketch something out!

I think you may want another person, then. You mentioned experienced writers, and I am not that when it comes to time periods outside of modern and whatever weird stuff I come up with for a plot. If this is all okay, then everything still seems great!

Trust me, I'm not super experienced with time periods either. I just know a few things about what Ancient Greece or a different time period might have looked like and what people dressed like…but other than that I just do my own thing. I just mainly base my characters off of those things and locations, but other than that it's pretty down to earth.

There's no specific plot that I have in mind at the moment.

Would you like to try out a modern day period or something historical? honedtly whatever you’re more comfortable with, I’m just excited to write!

We can do just about whatever. Also, same! I have a lot of fun role playing, and it's nice to be more active on here!

I kind of want to try that Ancient Greek one, and just have our characters get to know each other. To set the scene, they could just be living in a village off the coast. They could be working under mentorship, either in apothecaries, music, or metal work. They could even be training in the military, maybe to input some angst if any towns get riled up…But, ultimately, I'm not strict on being historically accurate, I just like the vibe :)

I think I might reuse an old character that's working under a music/council mentorship, so he's just involved in town art/political scene. You can work off of that, but anything works! I think he's going to be male, so are you cool with mxm?

Name: Castor Achilleos
Age: 20 years
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Bisexual, leans heavily towards men
Class: Middle/Upper Class
Occupation: Council/Political Apprentice
Appearance: Castor has a smaller build, his height finishing off at around 5'10, with lean muscles, lanky limbs and softer rounds to his body. His hair falls in soft, blonde curls, bronzed by the amount of time he resides in the sun rather than attending council meetings. It creates a tuff of blonde around his head, almost like a bright halo. His face is more of a round shape, with a sharper chin and soft features, a small nose and a fuller bottom lip. His skin is dark from the location of his village along the coast, with freckles nearly e v e r y w h e r e, along the bridge of his nose, cheeks, forehead, shoulders and collarbone. He can get embarrassed awfully easy, his skin flushing a sweet pink tinge. His eyes are a narrowed, almond shape, the tawny brown color lined by thick, dark blonde lashes and almost always in a squint. He looks much younger than his age implies, and is almost always stuck with a dreamy..or almost confused look on his face.
Personality: Castor could easily be described as a dreamer, lost in his own thoughts. He's artistic and soulful, feels deeply for others, but can also be naive and not quick to react. He likes to take his time, loosely mannered, falls in love easily. Doesn't have the best hold on his emotions, a natural charmer and finds it easy to convince others to his aid. Impatient and talkative, doesn't do the best with work or deadlines.
Likes and Dislikes: Sweet fruit, saltwater, the heat, naps, figs, lyres, linen, the quiet.
Usual Attire: Usually, he opts for linen and neutral toned everything. Due to his family being more towards an upper class, he has access to better clothes and products, though does not adorn himself with wealth. He doesn't think about his clothing and puts on whatever pants and top are the most breathable for the summer heat. When in council meetings, he does wear a white toga complete with his worn leather sandals.
Backstory (Optional) : Castor has led quite a bit of a sheltered life in his small village, his now deceased father was once the head of the council. He resides with his mother, who unfortunately suffers from poor health. He remains an only child, but enjoys seeing his cousins. For now, the council has naturally taken him under their wing, though he fights the possibility of leading a similar life to his father. His father wasn't super supportive of his sexuality, and has actually caught Castor at times…which never ended well. It has only made him more wary of sharing that side to other people.
Other: He cares deeply for his mother, and is very attentive to her. Loves to spend time at the beach, sparring or in the gardens with his cousins. Quiet about his sexuality, though tends to flirt with nearly every man in the council, impatient to find love.
