Derek smiled and held the Prince closer, "I should have. I would have loved to have you in my arms like this."

“ you have me now..” he said softly

After the dance, kaisly led the knight back to his quarters “Would you wanna lay with me tonight?” he asked softly, a very tired Prince with a very tired posture only led to him being that much cuter.

Derek smiled softly, "If you want. You seem very tired, its cute" he cupped the prince's face with his hand.

The Prince leaned into the touch “ I would enjoy nothing more,” he mumbled softly, giving a soft smile as he pulled away to get ready for bed. Stripping his ballroom clothes into something comfortable but still warm

Derek changed into a pair of pants to sleep in, he preferred to sleep shirtless, and he figured the Prince wouldn't mind.

Kaisly yawned as he settled into his bed, lifting the somewhat weighted comforter to encourage Derek to get under the blanket with him faster.
Kaisly was ready for bed

Derek got into the bed, wrapping his arms around the prince.

Kaisly snuggled into Derek, sighing softly as his body relaxed into the others “You are like a warm fire, how? It's nearly the middle of winter?” he said with a soft chuckle

(lol, originally Derek is my fire spirit character, so thats…funny-)

Derek kissed the prince's head softly, "I am always warm." he said with a partial shrug. "how are you cold?"

(lol) “ because the wind is cold,” he said softly. “ my mother struggled with the same problem.” he said jokingly

Derek hummed in thought, "sleep."

“ nu” kaisly said with a soft laugh

Derek just shook his head lightly and closed his eyes. "well, Im going to sleep"

Kaisly sighed softly and nestled into Derek, soon falling asleep and his soft snores filling the dead silence

Derek stayed awake for a while, listening to the prince in his arms, content. He eventually fell asleep, holding the prince close.
