"Not my fault you two love me enough to spoil me when I'm being like this." Fen flashed an innocent smile.
"Not my fault you two love me enough to spoil me when I'm being like this." Fen flashed an innocent smile.
Ori huffed but he leaned up to brush a few kisses across Fen's cheek anyways. "You're insufferable."
"And you love it." Fen laughed, leaning into his touch. "Now as cute as this is, we really should get to asking Dilena about the guilds."
Ori kissed him one more time before he pulled away, sighing quietly. "Yeah, fine, I guess you're right. Let's get up then."
Fen crawled off Archer's lap, standing to stretch before grabbing his staff as Archer leaped up to grab his things.
Ori pulled on a clean tunic and gathered his own small pack of gear, lingering by the door frame with a small smile. "C'mon you two, hurry up! We don't have all day."
"Yeah yeah hold on." Fen huffed as he gathered the rest of his things and met Ori by the door with Archer.
Ori snickered, holding the door open for them as they made their way out into the hall. "Says the impatient one."
"Oh shush, you're the one who was telling us to hurry up." Fen sniffed.
"Only because you're the one who wants us to get going." He smiled over at Fen. "You're just mad I said it before you got to."
"You get ready faster than we do, if anything I should've seen it coming." Fen huffed as he started to head downstairs.
"That's not a denial!" Ori was smiling as he followed after Fen, glancing around the inn with obvious interest. Archer and Fen may have been here before, but he sure hadn't. "What sort of job d'you think we'll find?"
"Anything really. This town gets a bit of everything. The last time we were here, we got sent on a wild goose chase delivering letters between the elves and the goblins only to find out the Elvin king couldn't read and the translator was out on a mission so we had to translate everything ourselves!" Fen scoffed, remembering the adventure.
"I let Archer do one of the readings as I translated but his horrible Elvish nearly started a war."
"Yeah, I think you've mentioned it a time or two." He smiled over at Archer, bumping their shoulders together playfully. "In his defense, Elvish is hard."
"Yeah! It's not my fault that Elvish is difficult!" "Maybe not but we would've been executed for treason in that court if it wasn't for me there!"
"Well yeah, but you can't exactly blame him!" He linked his arm with Archer's, giving Fen a sunny smile. "Why'd he even read it in the first place? Don't you know Elvish?"
"Because I was bulk translating messages and the Elven king was getting restless. I'd been teaching him Elvish bit by bit but this was beyond his capabilities."
"Yeah, clearly." Archer huffed with a pout.
Ori laughed. "Luckily for all of us, I don't think we're going to end up in a situation like that again. I'm pretty sure today's job is gonna be less diplomacy and more killing monsters."
"Which is less my strong suit than dealing with diplomats." Fen sighed, rubbing his temples. Archer kissed the top of Fen's head with a smile. "You'll be fine, come on."
"Yeah!" Ori pecked him on the cheek. "And you're real helpful too. Archer and I would be lost if we didn't have you there to back us up all the time."
"You two would find another healer, don't try and fool me." "Yeah but he wouldn't be you. Our sassy, smart, loving even when he doesn't want to be boyfriend."
"And he definitely wouldn't be as fun to hang out with as you are." Ori gave Fen a sunny smile. "Just accept that you're special, honey bun. We need you just as much as you need us."
"You really just need to find a name and stick to it. Damn flirt." "Fen! Leave Ori alone, I like his pet names." "All ten thousand of them?"
"Yeah, leave me alone!" He sidled up to Archer, offering him a soft kiss on the cheek. "I'm charming, you dick."
"Still a flirt." "I mean, he's not exactly wrong on that point. But that doesn't make it nice!" "I'm not a nice person."
