Give me all your swear words, curses and foul language!
Give me all your swear words, curses and foul language!
Aw heck, I wasn't prepared for this are…are you sure?
May I ask why?
Just wanna see what made up swear words people use in their novels
"You Lilly liveried, frost bitten, turnip eating mucus green tarantula."
I have highly-excitable, well-traveled aliens of many races in my story, so…..
Word//Planet of Origin//Meaning
-Tcha//Nyallikomoriin//A word for poop, nothing special
-Tcharv//Nyallikomoriin//Much like the f-bomb in English, this word can be used as a verb, noun, adjective, exclamation, whatever you want. Not quite as rude of a word though.
-Tchlota//Nyallikomoriin//An insulting name for any member of the race who isn't yet an adult. Literally "goo-whelp". Yes, these mean little aliens have special curses for their kids ^^;
("Tch" is the root of most swears in this culture– it is an inherently rude, angry, and insulting syllable. Awkwardly, it is also similar to "Tchk", which is basically "sir/ma'am" in the language of one of their neighbors.)
-Pakksh//Drrh//Another word for poop, used either as a curse or a noun. Not always considered a swear, more like…..a humorous and inaccurate word you wouldn't use in a formal speech or schoolbook.
-Tov/Tovendess//Drrh//Literally "breathing object". Don't use this word if ever want to make friends on this planet, it essentially amounts to a slur with traumatic historical connotations. While the aliens of Drrh are normally easygoing and use whatever grade of language they please without much upset, this name is one that will always get censored if it slips out in a public/formal setting.
-Doyng//Drrh//A little kid word basically meaning "butt".
(Note: The people of Drrh have two languages: the original one and the one they invented so that other races had a hope of ever speaking to them. The original language requires such advanced vocal chords that only a few creatures can speak it at all–think beatboxing mixed with dubstep. For convenience, both words listed above are shown in the simpler second language.)
And finally, a selection of words from Haver that all translate to "bald" or "mangey":
Eikht
Purlindi
Duurt
Kast kann
Heinvoori
(As the aliens of snow-laden Haver are entirely covered in fur, the loss of said fur is a big deal to them, and makes for easy insult-creation XD)
